Wrongful Death Motor Vehicle Accident

Premises Liability Fall Through Trap Door
Attorney Steven P. Sabra successfully represented an 82-year-old woman who fell into an opened trap door in the hallway of her hairdresser's salon. The woman was walking down the hallway to the restrooms where an electrician doing work for another business tenant left the trap door unattended without warning signs. The elderly woman sustained numerous fractures, underwent several operations, and had to be temporarily placed into a nursing home during part of her recovery period. Claims were brought against the owner of the building, the electrician and the business tenant who hired the electrician. A lawsuit was filed in the Bristol County Superior Court. The case settled for $205,000
