Our Support Staff
Clients will also find that the dedicated and experienced support staff will enhance the quality of the legal services provided. JoAnn, Dee, and Maria assist in maintaining personal contact with clients in a cheerful and helpful manner.
JoAnn has been with Sabra & Aspden for over 17 years. She is a paralegal and the office manager. JoAnn has been working in the legal field for over 25 years. She handles all the worker’s compensation cases for Attorney Sabra and has extensive knowledge in that field. JoAnn also handles criminal and some personal injury cases as well as wills and estates for Attorney Sabra. “Working in the legal field is something I enjoy doing. I enjoy working on the cases from beginning to end and working one on one with our clients.”
Dee has been a member of Sabra & Aspden’s support staff for ten years. In her position as a legal assistant, Dee is responsible for handling all Attorney Sabra’s personal injury cases. Dee prepares pleadings, discovery, mediation and arbitration memorandums. She also works closely with the firm’s clients in order to assist them with their cases. Dee has extensive experience having worked in the legal field for approximately 25 years. “I was very fortunate to have found my niche in life. Working in the legal field and, more particularly here at Sabra & Aspden, allows me to help people when they need it most.”
Maria M. Tavares-Shepard is the legal assistant to Attorney Matthew M. Aspden. Maria has been with the firm for five years, with twenty-one years of legal experience overall. She handles the domestic relations matters in the office, as well as assisting with personal injury in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, litigation, real estate and corporate matters. “I love helping people, and working for Sabra & Aspden enables me to do that.”
